Members have some nice armour, but when you get to 60-70 this all stops! Barrows armour degrades, so I don't like this. Vesta, Statius, Morrigans and Zurils which require 78 of combat skills is degradeable and CAN'T BE REPAIRED!

So imagine this

Inferno Armour
This requires at least 80 defence to wear and 80 attack for the weapons. The armour is on fire, so it's very defensive. When the monster/ PvP Opponent attacks you, they get a recoil from touching your flames! This deals at least 40% damage back to themselves, but of course the flames do get burned out and turn into burnt armour
Burnt Armour
This has the same defence bonus's but requires 75 defence and attack and doesn't have a recoil. To make it Inferno armour again you must have a fire making level of at least 90 or get struck with fire surge. Getting struck has a 10% chance of turning your armour back into inferno armour. The inferno armour can burn out by:

-After a total usage of 5 hours
-You getting hit by any water spells, the better the water spell the better the chance of it being turned into burnt armour

After request, here is a stat table! (Attack Bonus)
----------|Med Helm|
Stab------|---5---|
Slash-----|
Crush-----|
Magic-----|
Range-----|
Summioning|
Prayer
Strength

Hm, yeah. Hope you liked my 1st thread, please reply! :-D

First of all, "at least 40 percent damage back" is a HUGE amount, even for an armour that loses its ability. Even if there was equipment that had such an extreme ability, I would have thought it warranted a much higher level defence requirement - 80 is nothing.

No offence, but 5 hours is far too much to start with. Also, saying water spells are the only way of speeding it up (and by how much?) is unfair, as in a pvp situation mages are highly unlikely to be using inferior spells (such as water spells), forcing people to use an inferior attack simply to attempt to remove an overpowered set effect is a tad harsh, to say the least. And fishing? Is that some kind of a joke, lol.

Coming up with ideas is all good and merry but you should put a little bit of thought in as to how it would affect and interact with the current gameplay - I don't mean to bash down your suggestions (well, not in a cruel way) but it's really not going to work in the slightest.

Similar to Marshal, you have a good idea but frankly this would wreck everything. Wearing this in PvP or Boss hunting would be too huge an advantage especially. It might work better with:
-More like 10% damage recoil.
-Burns out after 2 hours seeing as requirements to get it back to Inferno aren't huge.
-Taking away the fishing thing, kind of funny but also pointless.
-Make a certain amount of damage by any water spells for it to change back
-Possible list the actual stats lol.

Anyway good idea, with more effort it could work!

Because we pay. Because F2P is going to get a new skill this year which is already a huge update for them. Because you have to take in the monsters: there is no point in wearing anything better then rune to battle level 90's. In P2P however you have level a 785 Monster with 2000 hitpoints. Eventually there is going to be a monster better then that, so there will always have to be new ways of killing them, better armour is one such way.

New armor sounds pretty cool. I don't know about inferno though, seems kind of silly. Maybe another type of original like a step up from rune. F2P could wear it too, but atleast 80 def sounds good.

Like the others have said.
Its great that you like to throw Ur input out there but make sure you've thought it through this could be a great idea w/ a bit of tweaking and or editing. And the PVP dynamic would change drastically w/ this update if they use it. You have to consider every element of the game when you make a suggestion not just throw random words out there. That being said edit the idea a bit and it could be great.

I editted in my idea

ok so I was thinking about this and what he wrote and the people's comments

I think there should be 2 types of new armour's and a quest to unlock them (quest I don't know yet but could be the 300th point)

Infernal Armour --> Burnt armour

The armour will have a charge it'll degrade like barrows but within like 5 hours. the armour should be animated fire while charged. Deal a 2% chance to have 10% of damage sent back to opponent. The armour's required defence level should be 90 atleast. When the armour degrades it should have the same stat's as full rune. When its Charged same stat's as full dragon Plate & full helm.
To repair the armour there should be a Blacksmith named Infernal Blacksmith who will repair it (set it alight) for 250k.
Unique to any other armour this armour should have a special attack right below the weapons special attack (another option would be to operate one piece of the armour) would work once every five minutes. This is where the 2 set's differ. The special should cast a flamethrower like attack that deals magic damage (not too overpowered) just something small.

the set will compose of
Full helm
Platebody
Platelegs or Plateskirt

Frozen Armour --> Chilled armour

The armour will have a charge it'll degrade like barrows but within like 5 hours. the armour should be ice shard's while charged. Deal a 2% chance to have 10% of damage sent back to opponent. The armour's required defence level should be 90 atleast. When the armour degrades it should have the same stat's as full rune. When its Charged same stat's as full dragon Plate & full helm.
To repair the armour there should be a Blacksmith named Frozen Blacksmith who will repair it (Re-Freeze) for 250k
