I believe that they should let you keep your first Cape of Achievement untrimmed, or at least give you the option to buy that one untrimmed. Say you get 99 Slayer without achieving any other 99s. That's THE achievement, a lot of people aspire to do that. But once you're done, you can't do anything else, or your achievement will be all for nothing. I say you should be able to keep the FIRST one, and the first one only, untrimmed.

Ehh, really not a must i think. I dont mind having a trimmed cape bc a (t) skill cape is the second best cape there is.

Well IMO it's not, noone in Runescape has untrimmed Slayer but if you ask me the achievement is to have it untrimmed and keep it! The normal way, that's more THE Achievement, much harder and you can actually compare it with level 3's Skillers.
Level 3 skillers goal is to STAY level 3.

Yes I compare untrimmed Slayer Cape (THE Achievement) with level 3.
The main goal is to keep it that way, so keep it untrimmed.

I see your point about showing that you have more than 1 Level 99, but that's why I've put there to have at least an OPTION to keep your first, or re-buy your first as either untrimmed or trimmed. Hmm. The Level 3 achievement is a good point, I believe i was a tad tactless when saying THE achievement. Since no-one (on record) has done it, I think the first to do it (probably slayerbelle) will be widely welcomed.

But that is what I disagree with, the rebuying or keeping.
Cause that would mean you can have untrimmed when you got #2 or more 99's ?

But as I said, THAT is not the achievement for me, for me it is keeping only 1 99, that means not getting more 99's and than having a untrimmed slayer cape, that would ruin THE Achievement imo.

Yeah, that would be a good idea because The 99 slayer thing is a great achievement and I think they should change that around so that if you do get 99 in something you should be able to choose either a (t) cape or normal cape.

I like this idea, but I don't think it should be limited to your first cape only. A lot of people think that certain capes look better untrimmed. My friend wanted his HP cape to be untrimmed, and an almost perfect white, but he was annoyed that you couldn't get the cape without the trim on it.

I think if someone's put in the work to get a 99 cape, they should have to option to buy one untrimmed.

Yeah, but to get it trimmed you need 2 99's. So you cant get a trimmed cape with 1 99. I think this a good idea =)

Yeah, it's true. A lot of the capes look better without the trim. You guys have coaxed me into thinking that maybe you should be able to buy your skill capes with no trims. Maybe someone could implement a function that allowed you to ask for the untrimmed cape from the Masters of the respective Skills.

If I got a untrimmed slayer cape, I would just work on getting everything to 98 after that.

I like the idea. You could simply switch between (t) and normal suit - of course you would pay 100k for each switch. It would be useful, because some Skill Capes (t) are simply 'ugly'.

To what Caco and Blood Hawk were saying, this is mainly for Skillers' things. If you don't want the untrimmed cape, you would go and get a trimmed cape, and for the prayer bonus, well, skillers and people who don't really like combat don't really give two hoots about a prayer bonus. If you want to do combat, get the trimmed cape. Romano, you have a good idea there, that's sort of what I've been suggesting, you pay 99k for a trimmed one, or 99k for an untrimmed one. It's all about choice, and that's what I'm proposing by making this thread.

But I understand what you mean. It wouldn't be a bad idea to allow you to choose to trim and untrim your capes ... Even if it is just your first one, but I do not know why the same principle should not apply to the rest.

Even choosing what colour trim you want for all you capes wouldn't be a bad idea.

Fishing cape looks better without trim, as does some other capes.
