A dark house portal has appeared to the south of Falador once again. Tremble as you approach it, for it leads to the house of the Grim Reaper, Death himself!

In this year's Halloween event, Death has a problem with an uninvited guest. Choose to help out and you will journey to a realm rarely trod by creatures with only two feet, and converse with its irritable monarch.

Completing the event will reward you with two new wearable items – one of which has a mind of its own – so seek out the house of Death...if you dare!

We've also created a wallpaper based on this event, which you can download here.

In other news...

We’ve made some improvements to the way banks calculate your free space. Free-players who used to be members will no longer have to dump all their members items to be able to use their banks and everyone can now see their usage in more detail on the interface. For more information, please read the Controls - Banks page.

We've updated the bank to make it automatically resize to fit your screen better. The interface will automatically extend downwards to show you more of your bank items.

Zahur in Nardah, who's moved to the building east of the bank, will now decant all of your potions (in any combination) into 3-dose vials for you. He charges a small fee for this service to cover the cost of any extra vials needed.

We've swapped two tasks in the Ardougne Achievement Diary. The medium diary might look a little odd if you've already completed it, but you should still be able to wear the cloaks for their effects.

An auto re-pick feature has been added when harvesting your mushrooms, berries and fruit from Farming patches.

When collecting a single item at the Grand Exchange, left-click will now withdraw the actual item and right-click will withdraw it as a note. Withdrawals for multiple items will behave as before.

I liked the event, but, as Dpower stated, the reward isn't too good.

Ah well, happy Hallowe'en to all of ya!

The first In Other News... would have been incredibly useful for me 2 months ago. But whatever, I got to clean out my bank and make some serious cash.
And the second one is wonderful as well. I always wondered why it didn't resize the bank in fullscreen mode.

This event on the other hand is something I'm not looking forward to.

Event is really easy, seems others don't like the reward but I don't think it is bad.

In my opinion, one of the better holiday events in recent memory. The graphics in the spider realm were really good, I thought, and Eek is my new favourite pet. Granted, the cape is kind of a let down, but the concept and execution of the event was really great.

Seconded. Overall, a well made and (in my opinion) well thought-out event with a not-so-well thought-out reward. Eek is pretty awesome though.

The event itself is very simular to that one in 2007. The reward is also very simular to the easter cape. Such a shame than they can't come up with something new. Eek is alright but I would have loved it if they let out the cape and gave us a new emote..

Reward was pretty retarded. I don't want a spider. I wanted a hat or pants or something like that.

Fail rewards, cmon Jagex new emote please? The event wasn't too shabby (unlike the Easter 2009)there were many interesting things and the graphics were superb compared to some other areas of RuneScape. But all in all, it gets a MEH.

To be honest, the reward wasn't that great. But like all the past holiday events, what do you expect?

It did amuse me for a few minutes though.

I thought the event was very good. Even though it may not have been the most enjoyable one, I really liked the graphical work in the Spider Queen's lair. I actually really liked the reward as well. The cape looks really nice, and who doesn't like a nice spider to carry around? Alot better than that ridiculous clothing we got last year.

I didn't like the reward (not my kind of reward at all =(.....) could have done better that one. Eek kind of sucked. No offense to those who like him (or her which ever him (or her) may be). The graphics weren't to bad at all. The story wasn't to bad. Could have made it a LOT worse. But they could have made the reward a lot better. I'm personally looking for a non-members type of boots and gloves that are gold-colored. This was because I was resonantly hacked and I had on members gold boots which were to match my gold gloves, gold team cape, and full Rune(g). Gr. Kind of ticked because I have to get a members card and I don't have the money right now.

One of the better holiday events that Jagex have released, and the reward wasn't half bad either. Having to spin web on 64 pieces of furniture did drive me somewhat insane though.. Something a little less repetitive would have been nice but overall a nice bit of fun to celebrate Halloween.

It was kind of entertaining, the reward was decent. I'd say a plus for an event!

Hmm I say the stuff you had to do to get to the Spider Queen was good but the rewards should have been something better. I mean like with EEK and the Cape maybe a new emote or a new Spell for completing it
