Required Items: Pickaxe (any kind), Lit Lantern (or other light source), Tinderbox.
Suggested Items: Boots of Lightness, Spotted/Spottier Cape, Food, Ring of Duelling/Amulet of Glory(4), 5 or so Lumbridge Teleport Runes, a couple each for Falador and Varrock.
Enemies to Defeat: None.
Walkthrough
1. Speak to Sigmund. (second floor of Lumbridge castle)
2. Speak to Hans, Cook, Bob and Father Aereck.
3. Return to Sigmund.
4. Go to the cellar of the castle.
5. Use your pickaxe on the blocked off tunnel.
6. Crawl through the newly created tunnel. (make sure you have a lit lantern)
7. Pick up the brooch.
8. Proceed further south in the tunnel until you reach a "dead end". You will find another obstruction in the wall, clear it.
9. Speak to the Duke.
10. Go to the palace located in Varrock.
11. Speak to the librarian (Reldo), show him the brooch.
12. Search the bookcases in the west part of the library.
13. Read the book on Goblin symbols you found. (you will discover the symbols match those of the brooch)
14. Head to Goblin Village. (north of Falador, east of Taverly)
15. Talk to one of the generals.
Choose the options in this order:
16. Return to Lumbridge and pickpocket Sigmund. (you will receive a small key)
17. Use the key on the chest in the room south of the Duke's room. (you will get a full set of H.A.M. robes)
18. Inform the Duke about Sigmund.
19. Return to the cellar. (make sure you have a pickaxe, tinderbox, lantern, food is recommended)
20. Before wandering into the maze, go south to a weak wall and clear the hole if you haven't already.
21. Navigate the maze. (click to "maze" to view map safe route)
22. Go up to Mistag and do either a Goblin Victory Dance or Goblin Bow, he will talk to you and ask you to tell the "ruler of the above" that they come in peace.
23. Speak to Sigmund.
24. Speak to the Duke.
25. Go to the H.A.M. hideout. (north-west of Lumbridge)
26. Picklock the trapdoor.
27. Search the first crate near the entrance. (you should receive the Duke's silverware, if not continue searching the crates)
28. Return to the Duke with the Silverware.
29. Return to the tunnel. (talk to Kazgar, he will lead you to straight to Mistag)
30. Speak to Mistag with the peace treaty.
Note: After the quest you can turn the brooch into Mistag for a free mining helmet!

The Duke of Lumbridge has appointed a new advisor, Sigmund, but is already ignoring his advice. Something strange has happened in the castle and Sigmund fears a monster attack.
