Rum Deal

Zombie pirates have arisen on Braindeath Island, and they don't look friendly! Production of 'rum' has stopped, and the pirate brewers are running scared. Can you overcome the horde of drunken, undead pirates? Can you even get to the island without getting a splitting headache?

Starting Location: Pirate Pete Starting NPC: North of Port Phasmatys
Required Skills: 50 Fishing, 47 Prayer, 42 Slayer, 42 Crafting and 40 Farming
Required Quests: Priest in Peril and Zogre Flesh Eaters
Required Items:Slayer gloves and Armour and Weapons
Suggested Items: Ectophial
Enemies to Defeat: Level 150 Evil Spirit



Walkthrough

1. Bring: Slayer Gloves, along with sufficient Armour and Weapons to kill the level 150 Evil Spirit and then Talk to Pirate Pete on the dock North of the Ectofunctus, North of Port Phasmatys – be sure you have at least 47 Prayer points remaining
2. Pete will club you over the head while you "pick up your diversion" and you will arrive on Braindeath Island
3. Talk to Captain Braindeath and he will tell you that he needs to make some rum to get Captain Donnie—the leader of the Zombie Protesters —drunk
4. Captain Braindeath will give you a Blindweed seed to grow Blindweed
5. Climb down the ladder on the Northwest corner of the building and walk to the Southeast corner of the basement, to the Cupboard
6. Open the Cupboard, Search it, and take all of the farming equipment
7. Return up the ladder to to the first floor and leave the building through the South exit and Climb down the Wooden Stair
8. Walk South through the Fence to the Southeastern Farming patch
9. Use your Rake to remove the Weeds in the Blindweed Patch, and plant your Blindweed Seed
10. Wait for the Blindweed to grow (4:35 minutes) – you will get the message: "I wonder how my Blindweed is coming along?" when it is fully grown, and Pick the Blindweed Herb
11. Return to Captain Braindeath, and Talk to him
12. Climb up the stairs and Use the Blindweed in the Intake Hopper
13 Talk to Captain Braindeath to find the next ingredient and he will tell you that he needs stagnant water from a nearby volcano
14. Exit the building via the South wooden stair again, pass through the fence and Walk Northwest to find 50% Luke
15. Open the gate, walk through and cross the bridge
16. Walk north, crossing the two bridges and on reaching the island, head Northeast and follow the path up the volcano
17. Use the Bucket on the Stagnant Lake to collect a Bucket of Water
18. Return to the Captain Braindeath and Talk to him
19. Climb up the ladder and use the Bucket of Water on the Hopper
20. Climb back down the ladder and Talk to Captain Braindeath
21. Captain Braindeath will give you a Fishbowl tangled in a Big Net
22. Leave the building by the South exit to the Farming Patch and Fish the Fishing Spots nearby with the Fishbowl and Net to catch five fish
23. Talk to Captain Braindeath
24. Climb upstairs and use the Fish on the Pressure Barrel and pull the Pressure Lever
25. Talk to Captain Braindeath
26. He will give you a wrench and tell you to get the wrench blessed and then give the Controls a "couple of belts" with it
27. Walk to the Pirate Bunkhouse just West of the main building to find Davey
28. Talk to Davey, and ask him to bless your wrench
29. GROOVY!
30. Use the Holy Wrench on the spinning, possessed Brewing Control just South of Captain Braindeath, and fight the level 150 Evil Spirit (hint: use Protect from Melee prayer)
31. Talk to Captain Braindeath
32. Climb down the Ladder to the basement, and kill a Fever spider - use Slayer Gloves
33. Take the Spider Carcass, and Use it on the Hopper upstairs
34. Talk to Captain Braindeath and "watch the glory of brewin' at its best!"
35. Take the Bucket from Captain Braindeath and to hold the Rum
36. Use the "Turn" option on the Output Tap on the South side of the Brewing vat to get a bucket of Unsanitary Swill
37. Exit South and walk down the Wooden Stair, to the Farming Patches
38. Talk to Captain Donnie and give him the rum
39. Talk to Captain Braindeath
